Delete your Nito account
This page is for Nito – Spanish, the app by Luca Straßburger on the App Store and Google Play. An account in Nito is optional; it only backs up your saved words and progress.
In the app (instant)
- Open Nito and tap the person icon (Profile).
- Go to Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm. Nito tells you when it is done and starts fresh.
Without the app
Email contact@learnnito.com with the subject “Delete my Nito account”, sent from the email address of your account (for example the Google address you signed in with). To protect your account, we only delete the account that belongs to the address the email comes from. We delete it within 30 days, usually within two days, and confirm by email. If you used Apple's “Hide My Email”, please delete the account in the app.
Delete your data without deleting an account
You can use Nito without an account, and you can ask us to delete some or all of your data without deleting an account:
- Usage analytics: turn them off in Profile → Settings → Usage analytics; nothing more is sent from then on.
- Ad measurement: turn it off in Profile → Settings → Ad measurement.
- Everything else (watch history, clip reports, feedback, analytics events): email contact@learnnito.com with the subject “Delete my Nito data” and the email address of your account. Without an account your data is linked only to a random app ID, so tell us roughly when you used Nito and on which phone; we may ask for details to find it. We delete it within 30 days and confirm by email. Either way it is deleted automatically after at most 24 months.
- Data on your phone (saved words, progress) is removed when you uninstall the app.
What is deleted with the account
- Your account and its email address
- The backup of your saved words, level, settings and interests
- RevenueCat's record for the account and the usage analytics events linked to it
What is not deleted, and for how long it stays
- Your subscription is managed by Apple or Google Play and keeps running until you cancel it there (Google Play app → profile picture → Payments & subscriptions; on iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
- Billing records are kept by Apple or Google as tax law requires.
- Data not linked to an account (the random app ID, watch history for the feed, clip reports) is deleted after at most 24 months, or earlier on request by email.
